Pacific NW Summer 2010

There’s no way around it: this was a temperate summer. No 100’s at all, no 90’s until after July 4th, a record-breaking amount of rain in May and June. I don’t recall a better year in the 2000’s. There were only two official heat waves: the first, a 3-day affair in the first week of July, and the last, a punishing 5-day event in mid-August. We can thank La Nina for this fairly fluky summer.
